CHARLOTTE — Students, faculty and staff at St. Patrick School took time to celebrate their patron saint on his feast day March 17.
The day began with the stirring sounds of a bagpiper (Mark Adamson) leading students to and from Mass.
Afterward, the bagpiper led the students into a special assembly that featured lively performances by local Irish dancers – St. Patrick students as well as Charlotte-area Irish dancing schools.
The day ended with fun and games in the school gym. A great time was had by all.
The Irish Blessing
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
