032123 BMCHS signingGrace Harriman, Chrisbel Alcantara-Varela, Tate Chappell and Tanner Cave signed letters of intent on March 21.KERNERSVILLE — On March 21, four student-athletes from Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School signed letters of intent to play for a variety of colleges. With their families at their side, the students enjoyed this milestone moment, a culmination of years of training and hard work playing for volleyball, lacrosse and basketball teams. The high school plans to hold another college signing event in May for more of its student-athletes.

Chrisbel Alcantara-Varela, accompanied by her family members Cristian Alcántara, Arlene Varela, and Christian Alcántara, signed to play volleyball with Guilford College in Greensboro.

Tanner Cave, accompanied by his parents, Alea and Chris Cave, signed to play lacrosse at Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tenn.

Tate Chappell, accompanied by her sister Charley and parents, Joy and Steve, signed to play basketball as an invited walk-on at Appalachian State University in Boone.

Grace Harriman, accompanied by her father, Mike Harriman, signed to play basketball at Virginia Wesleyan University in Virginia Beach, Va.
