Both were ordained on the same day in June. The celebration also doubled as a birthday party for Father Stuhrenberg.

HUNTERSVILLE — Flag pole banners were installed around the piazza of St. Mark Church.

The flags will be up for the 40 Days of Life which began today and goes through November 6. The flags are a result of efforts by the St. Mark Respect Life Ministry who wanted to create a visual reminder, in front of the church, of the importance of life every time people entered and exited the church.

There are eight different banner designs with messages in both English and Spanish. Six of the banners feature photographs of parishioners at Saint Mark with various messages that read:

Life is Gift. Defend It! (English and Spanish)
Pray for Life for Unborn Babies (English and Spanish)
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you. Jeremiah 1:6
Every Life is Worth Living

The flags were installed by Pastoral Associate for Facilities and Planning Scott Bruno with help by Matthew Pressley. Father Cory Catron even stepped in to lend Matthew a hand with one of the banners.

A special banner featuring “10 Ways to Be Grateful for Life” has been displayed in the Church Narthex and later in the week the Memorial Cross Display will be installed in front of the Mary the Mother of Life Within Memorial for Life statue.
