KERNERSVILLE — Approximately 100 people attended a Jan. 27 retreat entitled “God and Science – Where Does the Evidence Lead?” at Holy Cross Church.
The retreat was led by Steven R. Hemler, president of the Catholic Apologetics Institute of North America and author of “The Reality of God: The Layman’s Guide to Scientific Evidence for the Creator.”
The day began with Mass, followed by discussions and multimedia presentations of scientific evidence – as well as evidence from human nature – demonstrating God’s existence. The program also included discussion of Church teaching on evolution and the complementary of faith and science.
