031717 betaGASTONIA — St. Michael School’s Beta Club attended the National Jr. Beta Club convention in Greensboro Feb. 6-7.

More than 5,000 students from across North Carolina participated in the event. Upon returning to school, students shared the experience with others and their entries were displayed at school.

CHARLOTTE — The Charlotte Catholic High School rugby team organized a mattress sale Feb. 28 to support the team’s activities as well as three local Catholic charities. The team was able to donate 43 mattresses to needy families and raised $16,100 to finance its travel this year.
