031519 beeHUNTERSVILLE — Will DeSena, 14, an eighth-grader at St. Mark School, won the Mecklenburg Area Catholic Schools spelling bee Jan. 25 – his second win in a row.

He went on to complete in the Charlotte Observer’s spelling bee Feb. 18 in the Wells Fargo Playhouse at ImaginOn, coming in third out of 25 spellers from the Charlotte region.
