CHARLOTTE —Students at Charlotte Catholic High School donned mismatched socks in support of raising awareness and to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day with “Rock the Socks.”

The celebration gives Charlotte Catholic students a chance to celebrate the unique gifts that students with Down Syndrome bring to their community.

Through the MACS Options Program in the Diocese of Charlotte, these differently abled students are given the opportunity and resources to open the door to a high school education and opportunities for higher education.

From being on the dance team, to joining the cheerleading squad, Charlotte Catholic High School has embraced the Options Program, welcoming all students into the fullness of their community.

All proceeds from the “Rock the Socks” event will be donated to the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Charlotte.
