SALISBURY — During November, student government officers at Sacred Heart School led a successful canned food drive for those in need in the local community.
Partnering with the Sister Mary Robert Ministry and Rowan Helping Ministries, students collected 1,683 cans, or 1,484 pounds of food. In addition, students raised $249 this month with their Dress Down Day to help the hungry.
With the students’ help, the Salisbury parish assembled 70 Thanksgiving Baskets of food and goodies and RHM received 742 pounds of food.
