CHARLOTTE — Watch this short video highlighting St. Matthew School in south Charlotte celebration of Catholic Schools Week 2017. Catholic Schools Week was celebrated the week of Jan. 30- Feb. 3.
Students and staff embraced the event with much enthusiasm and a true Catholic spirit. Among several activities, first- and fourth-graders made Valentine’s Day cards for area seniors. Also, third- and second-graders made cards for priests, deacons and seminarians to thank them for their ministry.
“We celebrate being a part of the Catholic Schools. We celebrate all the great things that happen here, as well as we really want to promote the good news of Catholic schools to all those people that may be looking for a school to send their child to,” Principal Kevin O’Herron explained.
