KERNERSVILLE — Parishioners at Holy Cross Church volunteered with a smile to go “under the needle” March 11 and give blood to benefit the American Red Cross.
Many people, including Ed Beiles (pictured above), turned out and donated 56 pints of blood that day, exceeding the parish’s goal, organizer Melanie Feeney-Lewis said.
The eighth annual blood drive was sponsored by Holy Cross Parish Care.
