102723 Rosary RallyCHARLOTTE — To pray for the country’s conversion back to God, more than 50 people attended a local Rosary Rally for Our Nation Oct. 14 at Latta Park Pavilion.

The event drew faithful from several parishes across the city as well as St. Patrick Cathedral’s clergy Father Christopher Roux and Father Ernest Nebangongnjoh.

The group, in the presence of a statue of Our Lady of Fatima, prayed the glorious mysteries of the rosary as well as a Litany to the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Before the rally, Father Roux gave a brief reflection about the message of Our Lady of Fatima, which included a message of peace, and then read a letter from the Latin Patriarch in Jerusalem that invited all Catholics to pray and fast on Oct. 17 for peace and reconciliation to end the war in the Holy Land.

The rally was organized as part of a national rosary campaign encouraging Catholics to host public rosaries in October, specifically around the 106th anniversary of the final apparition of Fatima.
