CHARLOTTE — St. Matthew Parish’s Knights of Columbus Council recently made a donation on behalf of the LAMB Foundation to UMAR, a non-profit organization and an agency and ministry of the Western North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church that operates 21 group homes, one independent living home, nine supported living apartments and three arts centers to allow individuals to experience independent living in home-like atmospheres.
UMAR serves more than 400 people throughout western North Carolina. Pictured are Robert Desch, LAMB director for the St. Matthew Knights council; Marilyn Garner, president and CEO of UMAR; and Richard White, state director for the LAMB Foundation.
