KERNERSVILLE — The Knights of Columbus at Holy Cross Parish recently held a golf tournament to benefit Operation L.A.M.B.
The tournament at Pine Knolls Golf Club in Kernersville, an annual fundraiser for the council for 10-plus years, raised $3,700, of which $2,300 was for Operation L.A.M.B. and the balance going to the council for local charities.
More than 20 companies sponsored the event, and a total of eight foursomes played with about 20 local knights involved in playing or volunteering. The winning team, with a score of 62, was Chuck Tierney, Jim Valentine, Neal Rowland and Greg Klenke.
