CHARLOTTE — Hundreds of prayer intentions were gathered from people in uptown Charlotte during the second annual “Nail It To The Cross” Street Mission organized by Father Richard Sutter, parochial vicar at St. Patrick Cathedral, and supported by the parish’s Young Adults Ministry and other parishioners.
During rush hour on Wednesday of Holy Week and on Good Friday, “Nail It To the Cross” missionaries took turns carrying a large wooden cross on a four-mile walk to the corner of Trade and Tryon streets, where they prayed the rosary and welcomed passersby to post sticky notes to the cross.
