SALISBURY — Parishioners at Sacred Heart Church celebrated the parish's patronal feast day with two days of prayer, worship and fun June 23-24.
The celebration began Thursday evening with a Holy Hour and the opportunity to receive the sacrament of penance, followed by Eucharistic Adoration throughout the night.
On Friday morning, the day began with Mass, followed by Eucharistic Adoration throughout the day and the singing of the Divine Mercy Chaplet at 3 p.m.
Adoration concluded with Benediction and a Eucharistic procession to the parish cemetery Friday evening.
Parishioners then enjoyed a meal prepared by members of the Hispanic community and a spectacular fireworks show to end the evening.
